If it helps, I thought I wouldn’t like it as well for the same reason but gave it a try based on reviews I was seeing. I am very glad that I did.
I’m now looking into giving their previous game a try because I think I will like that as well.
That game was fun over all. I was a bit disappointed with some aspects of the story and characters, but I would need to go into spoilers to discuss that here.

It’s actually a pretty decent experience on a Steam Deck. I definitely prefer having a larger screen, but it’s very playable.
This is a neat idea and contrary to what the other commenter said, I still think it’s a valuable proposition because many folks, myself included, would rather have a Linux device rather than an Android one.
