What was it, 2015? When did we first read this whole story, pretty much in its entirety, already? Was it ten fucking years ago? I told my Trump family about this and they ignored it. Now it animates their being. What gives? Why now? Are they that slow that it’s literally a whole decade? I’m tired of these morons

Presumably, his supporters are trying to find a way out without having to admit to themselves that they have supported an unscrupulous monster. That is probably why they are now pretending that they did not know what has actually been known since the 1990s.

This allows people to maintain their identity and not have to worry that their worldview is fundamentally wrong. They can then move straight on to the next cult leader that preaches pretty much the same hateful ideology.

Hopped on r/conservative recently. They’re exhausted or fucking pissed that they got duped. People saying “Harris would have been worse” or whatever mental gymnastics they get fed are doing so meekly. Many are just checking out. The channels we most use to communicate are stages for psychological warfare where people don’t know which way is up, and it’s an exhausting battle. We’re stuck between trying (and succeeding in many areas) to improve our institutions and having no faith in any of them, while these fuckers spit in our face and act like we’re fucking stupid. We’re all in this together, and I think it’s a great time to connect with our Republican brethren. Say we didn’t want Harris, either. We agree on most things. We keep getting kneecapped, but anywhere you look, you can find people fighting the good fight. For the leftists like myself, please consider this: we have common enemies, and they B benefit greatly from making you assume you know your neighbor. Red hat? Wants to exterminate you. Racist. Ignorant. You should really just ask them, rather than assuming you know. Please tell me if this is word salad. I’m bipolar and have been experiencing psychotic symptoms. Love you guys.

Look at how fast they dropped W, embraced that teabagger party for a while, as well as birtherism, but they didn’t have much of a ringleader at the time, although Taco was indeed king of the birthers. That’s why Palin got attached to the McCain ticket, to give them that mainline rush of pure hateful craziness. But, alas, she was a woman, so maybe more like methadone. If she was white man saying the same stupid and hateful stuff, McCain might have won.

Taco is the China White for Faux-heads. He ticks all the boxes - he’s been saying and doing racist shit since the 70s. Misogynist? Fuuuuuuck yes, he is. Can he cosplay a sooper dooper xtian patriot? Well, kinda. But he’s white and allegedly rich, so…who gives a shit if he ever stepped into a church in his life, and had daddy help him dodge the draft. Jesus works in mysterious ways.

They could not dive to the ground to start kissing his feet fast enough…the same bunch will sign up for some qanon/birther/pizzagate style bullshit from the next loud mouthed asshole after Taco shuffles off this mortal coil, you betcha. Even if they supposedly learned some lesson about Taco in particular now or at some later point…

When you told them they probably didn’t realize at the time that Democrats could be involved

You have to wait some time for the conspiracy theories. They take time to brew.

When something is fresh, and facts come out, and those involved can be questioned and provide answers, that’s usually the best time to get the truth.

Over time peoples memories fade. Stories are told and retold like a game of telephone. “Alternative theories” develop. These become the conspiracy theories, which I guess maga loves.

It’s also when the justice department can “visit” with convicted witnesses and convince her to lie for her freedom.
