I just saw this article about Hell on Wheels, but my prime membership is nearly up. Anyone watched it, or have anything similar they’d recommend?

Hell on Wheels was great. Definitely worth a watch. Great storytelling throughout. Interesting characters
We loved Hell on Wheels. Anson Mount, Common, Christopher Heyerdahl are all so good in it.
I would say there is an unenjoyed adjustment in writing that I thought was bad. A cast member no longer wanted to continue suddenly so I get it.
The show felt quality though. It’s been years but I recall enjoying it.
Hell on Wheels never reached Breaking Bad levels for AMC but was good. Speaking of, Breaking Bad had seen its creator call it a modern western. The dressings are different but I agree. You could try that.
Yep seen breaking bad and better call Saul both fantastic shows

I really enjoyed that! Didn’t like the ending though
This was good for like the first two episodes and then it just became extremely formulaic and never went anywhere interesting again. There’s no real character development outside of the very predictable routes you can see coming a mile away and most of the good action sequences are frontloaded.
