I read an article once about a guy who got a NO PLATE licence plate and ended up being automatically blamed whenever a cop wrote in that a car had no licence plate. I wonder what 0X00000 would do.
They already consider similar looking letters as the same. If someone has the license plate “OOPS” , if you try and register “00P5” it will say it’s taken.
You can have non-alphanumeric characters on license plates? What do the cops do if they need to catch you? Do they put out an APB for emoticons?
'); DROP TABLE Tickets;–
Like the guy with the NULL plate who got all the tickets for which no number could be found.
Truly a tragic tale.
This username means you also get “mentioned” a lot in big chatrooms where people post code/logs
Honestly, as annoying as that’d probably be, it’d also be great. You could likely argue any ticket was a mistake.

NULL too.
I think that’s what I was actually thinking of but I mixed it up.
They both seem equally plausible. “NO PLATE” would be officers writing it in, and if they left it blank the computer would turn it into NULL.
I bet “BLANK” could cause similar issues
Little Bobby Tables got his driver’s license.
Use the cyrillic letter А on your licence plate instead of the latin letter A. All your speeding tickets would be mailed to someone else

Meanwhile, the guy in
the slave labor campprison making your license plate: “Alright, thats an A, I’ll key in an A here”You do know the cyrillic A is just А(serbian) or А(russian)??
Or the 🅰️ emoji
I don’t think you can? But, you can use a space and add an equal sign sticker instead
Are stickers allowed?
It might depend on the state, but I think anything other than registration stickers in the designated spot could count as a defaced license plate
