The Coens are probably my favorite filmmakers, with True Grit being my favorite of theirs. It has an amazing cast, sublime landscapes, and an incredible revenge/coming-of-age narrative in which all the characters have believable motivations and clever dialogue.
It’s hard to pick, but what do you think?

Bad Santa
Oh, I’ve never seen Bridge of Spies or Bad Santa. I’ll have to change that.
I absolutely loved Joel Coen’s Macbeth though, if we’re talking other writers.
Oh man, the hard part about picking my favorite Coen Brother movie iis today it is True Grit, tomorrow it is Fargo, the next day it is No Country For Old Men.
Those two are two of the greatest.
