    I love ACDs. Such great dogs, except for the ankle bites to herd people.

    If I had a farm or a big plot of land, I would have one without question.

      Mine doesn’t do the ankle bites! But he’s always on watch and he barks a lot. -_-

        That is a blessing.

        I have met probably 6 ACDs off leash in their home and I think every one tried to get me to go somewhere with a nip. It may have been because they all were in houses or apartments so they couldn’t satisfy their urges through work or running around. I think most of those had kids in the house, so that may have played a part?

          Mine is not a pure ACD to be fair. Half ACD, half Dal. He’s a great watch dog, and he does do a little herding, but he doesn’t do the ankle bites. He also grew up in shelters. I adopted him at 2 years old so he may have habits from that time.

              He is FAST. I speculate if I took the time to do agility training, he would dominate. But we’re content doing walks and cuddling on the couch for now.

    This is a very good boy. I can tell. I have a knack for this kinda thing.
