I drive a school bus for a semi rural city in Arkansas. A large portion of the kids that ride my bus are Hispanic. I have had nightmares about this shit since the election.
I’m a white blonde blue eye cishet man and I’m still being hit by the unabashed cruelty and evil. I just want to get off.
Oh god that’s terrifying. Like what are you supposed to do as a driver in that situation? Like if ice raids your bus at goddamn red light or some shit?
I don’t know. I want to believe I’ll fight in the moment but I don’t know what I’d do.

Nope. There was some vague emails at the beginning of the administration about how they don’t approve of ICE going to schools and wouldn’t work with them but that hasn’t happened yet (thankfully) and there’s not really been anything else.
But we had an email basically pre warning us not to say anything bad about kirks murder on social media, so that was fun.
Damn. You’d think they’d have a plan for ICE raids…
And that’s fucking infuriating that they take Kirk more seriously than ICE raids… Guess they have a “Fuck them kids” mentality. I’m not a parent and don’t ever plan to be, but shit like this makes me so mad. Kids should be able to be kids and not live in fear. There’s going to be generations of people who didn’t have childhoods who will enter adulthood already jaded as hell. It’s so sad.
