I understand it’s not necessarily meant as an offense to any applicable person by the person saying/wearing it, but it is nevertheless perpetuating the social problem of shaming people for characteristics they have no control over.

I keep seeing this argument and I don’t buy it. You can use assholes’ insecurities against them. It’s ok.

If you completely lack the ability to empathize with other people or understand that communication doesn’t only get seen by whoever you’re directly targeting you can think that, I guess.

You’re right. I’m a monster and I love to eat babies. I mean 100% lack of empathy. None whatsoever. It’s definitely not that you’re policing people’s language to the point that they don’t give a fuck anymore.

It’s either the lack of empathy or that you’re for some reason so attached to disparaging people’s bodies you refuse to listen to simple logic. The concepts are really not that hard.

The hyperboly really doesn’t help your case.

Someone telling me I have no empathy on the internet doesn’t really make any difference in anything, other than I kinda think they’re a judgy douche. Your point falls completely flat when you make the absolutely baseless judgement. I don’t care. Blocking you now.

Ever heard the term “if it smells like shit everywhere you go, check your shoes”? It applies to being an asshole too.

In the future, try being a shitheel elsewhere, thanks bud.

Yeah one or two dipshits a month pretty much guarantees I’m an asshole. Thanks for your response here actually. Tagging on Lemmy is a great feature

I don’t think so. I think that presupposes that there is something bad about having a small dick. This is to mock people who think that there’s something bad about having a small dick, who there’s a good chance watch Fox News, as well-adjusted people don’t really think that. But maybe I’m wrong! I’ll think on it. Thanks for the challenging perspective.

It’s really simple. The fact that you think this shirt will offend anybody, regardless of the demographic you’re targeting, lends power to the narrative that a small penis is something to be ashamed of.

Yes. You’re doing splash damage. I’ll put it this way. Boys should be able to grow up without having anxiety over the size of their penis (because everybody should be able to grow up without having anxiety over things they didn’t choose or have control over). When you put this shirt out into society, you can’t control who will see or who interpret it.

Maybe people that think fox news is bullshit will understand that what you are disparaging is fox news and not small dicks and that you think that you’ll offend fox news viewers only.

More likely, the average person will see that you think fox news is stupid but that is because having a small dick is something to be ashamed of in general, and some poor kid will see it and fret about how their body stacks up. Body shaming can’t really be effectively targeted and should really just not be done at all.

I agree with you, but I also can see the ways it could be read as problematic.

Like a shirt that says “watching Fox News shrinks your tits” would be kind of messed up. For some reason the dick one feels more humorous than insulting, but maybe that’s just my own cultural bias.
