Another of the potential targets for further investigation, but the fact that it’s fractured, I assume that they may not consider it for an abrasion or potentially core drilling.
Once again, I’ve stretched the colour and contrast of the raw image as the original on the mission server was a little overexposed, this makes it a little easier to see the detail on the target.
Perseverance rover acquired this image using its Right Mastcam-Z camera. Mastcam-Z is a pair of cameras located high on the rover’s mast.
