    Late reply but

I go through periods of burnout and thinking people are losing interest

You don’t owe us anything, when you need a break please take it, or slow down a bit. Mantaining a community is a massive task, I feel that there’s enough of us invested now that we are not going to let it die. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

    Also

I think I’ve only gotten one of you to actually volunteer

This is awesome!! Thanks again anon, truly. <3

Finally, I want to be more involved in contributing to communities but I don’t want to share whatever just fot the sake of it; so hopefully I can put together a nice post + write up from time to time :) you’ve inspired me as well.

I have scaled back a little for summer. I was feeling worse about it, but I believe it was Blaze or someone on Fedigrow that pointed out it’s summer and people are on vacation and stuff. I have confidence issues, so I usually automatically assume I did something, but that got me to get a more likely realistic take on things. I went from doing 5 posts a day to 4 during the week and 3 on weekends, and that is less pressure, so now I can take a break every day or so on stocking up on content.

As someone who usually avoids the spotlight, posting here has been largely enjoyable. If it’s something your passionate about, in anything but political posts, you can have the stage to yourself in near anything and people really seem glad for the contributions to other topics. It can be slow to build an audience, but the people you do pick up will be happy to have someone to talk with here. I never thought I’d be a daily contributor, and I never thought I’d have this many people happy to listen to what I share. I think everyone should try posting more. Even if you feel you dont have much to say, AskLemmy could use some more variety, and there’s Dull Men’s Club and others specifically for mundane chat.
