AI is dangerous to anyone, children are just the most vulnerable. Look at how many people have suffered mental breaks due to AI encouraging them to self harm or to harm others.

I would never trust an AI to write anything for me, not only is it prone to making mistakes, I have no way to ensure the data I give it isn’t going to be sent off to a datacenter somewhere to be used for unknown purposes. I don’t Just work in IT, I work in Financial IT, and we take security compliance seriously.

Nothing output by an AI is verified, they cannot site their sources.

I won’t even bother to argue on the environmental front, due solely to the fact you just admitted to not caring about it at all.

Either way, it’s very clear you are an AI tech bro, and you’ll support it to the end even as you make yourself look like an absolute clown. I have no further reason to attempt argue with you, just like I see no reason to argue with Trump supporters or Elon Musk supporters. At the very least, I have put information out there to combat your misinformation for anyone who decides to read this thread.

You’re conflating your workplace with every other. Most dont work in financial IT with its stringent security measures.

      I would never trust

Nothing output by an AI is verified

You can’t trust yourself to verify it? Are you a monkey unable to read its output and conclude if it properly rewrote and reformatted what you gave it?

If I give it the info and it formats it in a table, I’m not trusting it with anything, I’m literally checking it right after. Still faster then me typing the table by hand.

It can cite its sources, so if I’m trying to learn about a subject or getting info on a product/service, I just click the links it gives me.

It’s easy to learn how to use these tools properly. You can also not use them, like, just don’t. It’s fine. I don’t get the tantrum everytime the subject comes up and the constant gatekeeping tho.
