The Doomslayer is simply a modern Christ figure. He willingly sacrifices himself to descend into hell for no other reason than his hatred of demons.
It’s a travesty that we’ll never hear the actual masters of the Doom Eternal soundtrack. I’m stuck listening to the highly compressed versions on user-created youtube playlists.
The Mick Gordon songs in there are from the original Doom soundtrack, not Doom Eternal. I believe the masters were never released because of the issues between Gordon and Bethesda. So they’re likely sitting on a hard drive somewhere never to see the light of day.
There was an official doom eternal soundtrack that was released around the time of the mick/bethesda drama, are you looking for something different than that because I have a flac quality rip of it I could send you when I get home later.
I also have some high quality mp3 rips of ancient gods pt1 & 2 that I snaffled up at one point as well.

I followed all the drama way back when so I’m aware of his thoughts on it. Regardless of whether or not Mick approves of the mix, my personal opinion is that it sounds a million times better than YouTube rips so I’ll keep enjoying it.
Just thought I’d offer to share it since it wasn’t ever put on spotify or anywhere else that I’m aware of.
Unfortunately the official release was poorly mastered, and fan remasters can only do so much when you don’t have access to the actual track stems. But I’m happy to hear it if you don’t mind sharing!
