Nemo's public admirer@lemmy.sdf.orgOPto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Any opensource dictation(speech to text) application for windows?1·7 days agoThank you.
I have only a basic understanding, like how for loops and small functions work.
I currently have whisper installed and I can get it display what I see on cmd. If the apps don’t work, will try that option.

And a question on SK history from the last half century that you probably learnt from:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_Military_Government_in_Korea
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autumn_Uprising_of_1946
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeju_uprising
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwangju_UprisingSo are the tricks of the last half century yours or theirs, considering how many people don’t know that SK was a dictatorship for a long time?
How do you view these things?
And the sanctions and the war drills that US-SK does together?
Poland was one annexing Czechoslovakia along with the Nazis, right?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich_AgreementSoviets opposed it, but Britain and France acted as facilitators and ignored the Soviet call to create a united front against the Nazis.
Well, after seeing how they ganged up on Czechoslovakia like that, it’s not surprising that the Soviets chose to not be the odd one out(markes as next target) and signed a non-aggression pact like those other countries.
Well, it was the first iteration.
It did quite well, considering how it rapidly indistrialised their union of states, gave national-level voting rights to women before USAmerica did, fought external and internal sabotage, was waay better than the USAmerica which had racial discrimination on voting till the 1960’s etc.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voting_Rights_Act_of_1965They also were the major force to fight against Nazis.

Nemo's public admirer@lemmy.sdf.orgto Memes@lemmy.ml•An uphill battle destined to go downhill01·11 months agoI recently saw a video on it, saying that it’s true, but in tge context of US politics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWy8EEqXbBgAs an outsider looking at America, the vid makes sense. I saw some comments on the net say that RW Trump was the first US president to go to Nk and meet Kim rather than some LW one. I don’t know whether the meetings were useful tho
Nemo's public admirer@lemmy.sdf.orgto Memes@lemmy.ml•An uphill battle destined to go downhill1·11 months agoEver heard of horseshoe theory?
Yep.
Have you heard of the fish hook theory?

I didn’t say that the extra panel should show agreement/support. I think an extra panel will be more clear
Better than plain tyranny, like adding salt/sugar to lemon water, right?
I think you should add an extra panel with something like “Actual democracy in transition where the system is not subjected to corporate lobbying or profit maximisation for the few and actually raises the HDI of the people, but has to censure people trying to push corporatocracy”
