It has a loose story to get to the center of the universe, but I can’t say I’ve ever made it there as I always end up doing other things

I was at a BBQ a year ago, I said to the “chef” to toast the buns and he looked at his dad in confusion, his dad shrugged and said “I dunno.”

I then asked him if he liked toast, to which he obviously said yes. Anyway he toasted the buns and was an immediate convert.

I think it’s a situation where they haven’t encountered it before. We can teach them to do better! Imagine a world of toasted buns…

What would you say would enable you to get your money’s worth? I just had a feeling the game wouldn’t live up to the hype and felt pretty smug when it flopped. Then years later I grabbed it for cheap because I was bored and there had been a free update. I have put over 100 hours into it.

My only complaint is something feels off about the shooting, but the stuff they have been adding has been great and gives more things to do outside of just base building.

I don’t know a great deal, but his stance on the Russia/Ukraine war concerns me.

What are the chances, just found out today DoW4 is being produced by the same studio. Here’s hoping they’ve learnt a lot and can do a great job!

How strange that I saw a picture posted for Iron Harvest and now I find out that same studio is making DoW4. Iron Harvest had so much potential but the studio kind of abandoned it. It felt a bit clunky in ways, I’m hoping the experience they got from Iron Harvest will enable them to do well and we don’t end up with another DoW3.

Such a shame Iron Harvest was abandoned. It had so much promise and such a cool setting.

It was a great show, I don’t normally watch these kinds of shows, looking forward to season 2

There were restrictions in the UK before this latest measure got put in place, ISP providers provide it so parents could manage it. But my guess is a large proportion of parents were either too stupid to use, didn’t care, or simply didn’t know. Broadband parental control.

In my social circle in the UK everyone got married in their 30’s and started having kids mid to late 30’s. It’s not a race to get married, but the biological clock is there for having kids.

When I originally saw this report on another source, the key standout for me was how many people were beaten by the AI, and the fact the winner was 5% ahead, which really is a small margin. It was being touted as “Yay we beat the AI!” without acknowledging that there were a lot of people that lost to it.

I feel for the teacher, Windows is still the predominant OS that is used by businesses worldwide and it’s unlikely to change any time soon. Ensuring the kids have some familiarity with it is important as when a lot of them go into the workplace their employer isn’t going to give them a choice of OS to use. A number of schools in my country now provide kids with Windows laptops that can be managed through group policies. I can imagine the teacher feeling frustrated at times as their teaching material will be geared to Windows and may face challenges in being able to grade your kid.

It’s great you have given your kid experience in using Linux and that should set them up really well to working in a Linux based environment. Hopefully one day other OS will be added to teacher’s curriculum so that all kids have the opportunity to get hands on experience.
