fun fact : “Semitic” actually refers to a whole bunch of different peoples; Jews, Ethiopians, and Arabs, to name some of the modern ones. there’s a few others too, and the word is based on language, rather than ethnicity!

the key word is “with.”

if i am making some mashed potatoes, and the recipe calls for 1 stick of butter, but i only put a teaspoon in, and substitute the rest with margarine, i can claim that the mashed potatoes were made with butter. in the case of the drink, we don’t even know which ratios they are working with.

they then add extra flowery language, like the word “real,” and “100%.”

the “100%” is doing some heavy lifting here, and is deliberately deceptive. it’s meant to trick you into believing that the whole package/container was made using nothing but juice, instead of a bunch of chemicals and substitutions.

consumers really don’t read labelling properly.

the label that always makes me chuckle is “made with 100% REAL fruit juice” which is ridiculously deceptive

i mean… i like fantasy and sci-fi a lot, but those mushrooms are probably only there because of all the dog poo along the trail…

EDIT : and before anyone says “i bet you’re a lot of fun at parties,” i would like to inform you that : yes, i am, but mostly because i casually bring the word “poo” into the conversation

that’s the thing - i think he is terrible for the province/country, but he is definitely on the right side of things, with this comment. it’s interesting, because he is on record saying he was 100% happy Trump won, then he goes and says this. looks like he is trying to play both sides of the issue.

i honestly think he’s a LOT more left-leaning than he lets on, but he really likes his conservative donors a tiny bit more than that.
