I added emphasis to show how Scott even managed to rebut his own argument with a single word. He’s admitting he’s supposed to be “serving”. That’s because he’s supposed to be a servant. He’s supposed to be a public servant. Even if it’s possible to get rich, obviously, a public servant’s first priority is to the public, right?

He’s like a fucking butler trying to defend why it’s okay that he took the silver serving trays.

Either you’re “serving” or you’re not. Rick Scott is obviously not serving. He’s eating from the buffet while everybody else is starving.

Just to be clear, cops show up. One guy is alive, and the other is dead. The alive guy claims they were arguing over parking, and the dead guy is dead because he’s been riddled with bullets from a gun that the alive guy is holding. The dead guy is unarmed.

They don’t even arrest Bougere. They only confiscate the murder weapon. It’s beyond bizarre. You’d at least expect them to arrest him on suspicion of something.

I think it’s the heat that done them in. Sometimes, dishwashers have modes that don’t use a lot of heat, and I think it might also help to put heat sensitive things in the top rack. But even if you do that, I’m guessing that the kind of plastic that melts in the dishwasher probably won’t be safe to drink from, even if it doesn’t look like it melted.

I wonder how many people believe that diamonds already look like that when you dig them up.

This is an odd joke for The Far Side. Usually, judgments are either done by other characters in-universe, or done by the narrator against characters that only exist in-universe. But here, it seems to be Larson, who is a real person, joking that nobody cares if a normal real mime is killed by a tree.

I guess the joke is that he won’t get lost because he has a map. And then stop thinking because that’s the entire joke.

Trump specifically appointed him because he’s a doctor who doesn’t believe in medical science. Now, they’ve gotten rid of him because he doesn’t believe in medical science.

This seems to be the difference between incompetence and corruption. He wants to deny new medicines and reduce the use of vaccines because he’s incompetent.

They want him to reduce the use of vaccines because it’s politically expedient, and to approve new drugs likely because that is also politically expedient. So, they’re simply corrupt. I think if we look, we’ll see a clear money trail.

Pretty sure similar functionality is built-in to iOS. I turned it on for my elderly mother’s phone, and it completely stopped the scammers that were constantly calling her. I think it’s built-in because I don’t remember installing anything.

This reminds me of The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. They have a disturbing talking animal that is genetically programmed to want to be eaten, and it comes to your table in the restaurant and tries to convince you to eat it.

This is one of the many reasons that private money shouldn’t be used for campaigns, even the candidate’s own money. Ironically, it would also be much cheaper for the taxpayer to just use public money, be it through a standard amount, or vouchers, for example.

1. All of these tiny couches have even tinier blankets over the back, mostly made to look like quilts!!
2. Considering the price of yarn, this is probably as big of a crocheted couch as most people could afford.

The real reason Tea-Rexes are so grumpy is that they cannot get the tea cup to their mouths with those tiny arms.
