@somerandomperson @DragonTypeWyvern but not the system
@TabbsTheBat for example, some site stopped working and you may want to check it with clean profile. But do not want to clean you main profile. You may try private window, but what if site does not work in private window? Or you need to keep it’s data anyway
@TabbsTheBat multiple isolated instances of sites cookies/storages/settings? Yes, you can use conatiners, but creating second profile usually is easier
@TabbsTheBat i did not use firefox long time, but usually --ProfileManager allowed to manage profiles. In old firefox android versions (which was xul-based) it was possible to enable profile manager by editing configurations
@TabbsTheBat but 3 different versions cannot use single profile at same time
@TabbsTheBat @ickplant it’s 6 windows of single firefox instance
@KindaABigDyl @_thebrain_ what is trash-rm?
@the_q linux/bsd/win10 with wsl? Of course, OSX is still useful like remote client and like dev machine for Apple devices, but not for everything else
@lka1988 why systemd needs some extra compatibility? If it designed to work, it must just work, not requiring changing evertyhing around
@furycd001 @nutbutter Technically, it’s broken. If you run screen/tmux built without systemd support, it will be killed on logout. Systemd requires every program that needs daemonize link libsystemd0 only to notify systemd to keep it running. So it’s broken, but worked-around in every software which need daemonize
@PlantPowerPhysicist @HappyFrog f(l)atpak is workaround, not solution. It should not work in non-default configuration
@Diplomjodler3 @drq win7 is shit, really shit. It renamed “My computer” to “Computer”…
@the_q @The_Picard_Maneuver reminder that intel ax series does not work with ax and even ac normally in most regions
