Have a little empathy maybe? Foreign people are still people.
Exactly! Mensa is essentially the filter for people who think they’re smart but actually aren’t.

Pennomi@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•RFK Jr wants bright artificial dyes out of food. Are Americans ready to let go?English4·5 days agoBeet juice is a bright dye, but it’s also a food. Some dyes are entirely harmless. I believe the rule they’re talking about affects artificial dyes, not bright dyes, and the headline is mistaken.
For example, some red dyes are sourced from petroleum instead of edible substances.

Lemmy could definitely use a feature like that where the users can provide context that corrects clickbait headlines. Other than comments of course.

C++ is kinky that way. You can consent to all manner of depraved programming patterns. Great for use in personal life, but maybe not appropriate for the office.

At some point, ChatGPT is the only “person“ who will still talk to a spiraling person. Plus, LLMs are notorious for agreeing to anything, causing a reinforcing effect.
Pennomi@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•AI is the new globalisation that will create a world of have-nots and have-yachtsEnglish01·1 month agoNot necessarily, but everyone having access to cheap labor AND raw materials would ensure that.
Now I’m not going to pretend that AI is anywhere close to being a source of cheap labor. It really can’t do much without a human to assist it.
Pennomi@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•AI is the new globalisation that will create a world of have-nots and have-yachtsEnglish01·1 month agoI’m not entirely sure of that. While corporate AI would certainly cause that, right now there are open weights models which can be run on a relatively affordable computer, and they are not that far behind. These models are able to democratize AI benefits rather than concentrate it.
Well yeah, it’s working from an incomplete knowledge of the code base. If you asked a human to do the same they would struggle.
LLMs work only if they can fit the whole context into their memory, and that means working only in highly limited environments.
Cook sounds like a moron. Obviously the waste heat is dumped later in the cycle. But the water can still be a closed system.
