My first introduction to Bourdain was in No Reservations, and after not getting enough of his wit and love of all things culinary and people (because of too much time between seasons), I picked up Kitchen Confidential and was instantly hearing his voice in my head as I read.

There was a site I found in highschool around 1998 - the paradigm of pessimism.

Full of dark humor and anti-jokes, in glorious web 1.0 - that site had a huge impact on my humor. I’ve never been able to find it again. Just a random site someone hosted somewhere on the Internet - no scams, no paywalls, just a bunch of weird humor.

It’s disgraceful how they did my boy Santos. How dare they convict a former astronaut and Basketball/Baseball MVP!

Protip - if it’s a networked printer, fuck with it’s DNS/IP gateway settings or block it at your firewall. Brother was accused of pushing firmware that locks out 3rd party cartridges .

My network gateway is actually 10.0.0.1 but I configured the printer’s gateway for 10.0.0.254 - that way any attempts to leave the 10.0.0.0/24 network will fail.
