80s baby who was always told “you just don’t try hard enough”. Sitting in my messy house, with two leaks that need to be addressed, having just been promoted for the second time in a year and feeling very called out.

You’re doing a good job. Not sure if you needed to hear that from an internet stranger, but I felt called out too so you’re not alone.

I don’t have a career which means that this one isn’t about me at all. So I got that goin’ for me which is nice.

Me too. I always had good grades, but had no organization skills. My homework log was asking the guy at the locker next to me what was due tomorrow. Great career now with 3 degrees. Struggle to get anything started, but when momentum is going, i cant stop.

I always suspected adhd, especially when online communities became more prevalent. It wasnt until a marriage councilor called me out on my ADHD and was stunned Id never been diagnosed.

The amount of times I was told I am not living up to my potential like I can control when my brain works amazing through willpower.
