Responding in kind would be shooting at cops that are about to shoot you. Here we’re talking about cops detaining people. Shooting them would be illegal. If you doubt that go ask a lawyer before buying a gun.
Terry v. Ohio is the reference here. Unless there is articulable suspicion that a crime is afoot, the detention is, by definition, illegal. Driving while brown (or existing while brown) does not qualify as articulable suspicion of a crime. Therefore, this is an illegal detention - otherwise known as kidnapping. Defending yourself against kidnapping is an understandable position one might take. It might be unwise however, given the criminal justice system is overwhelmingly stacked in favor of law enforcement. That is a personal choice we are free to make so long as we understand the likely consequences of our actions.
You’re 100% correct, but when the new way of doing things is to deny you your right to due process, then you will never get that day in front of a judge to argue that you were detained illegally. We have a police state that is kidnapping people and shipping them off to another country without their day in court, possibly in a prison for the rest of their lives. I would argue that the threat of that is no different than the cops threatening to shoot them; either way, they’re dead with no hope for justice. At least getting shot would be a relatively quick way to go.
If the secret police break down my door to kidnap me, somebody will be dying that day, and it’ll almost certainly be me, but hopefully also a couple of them as well. If I can’t save myself, I’d like to at least help to reduce the number of kidnappers, and hopefully deter others from carrying out their fuhrer’s orders for fear that it could happen to them too.
I think that the country is now at the point where it wouldn’t take much of a spark to blow the doors off this bitch. Of course the Epstein files thing matters, but it’s really heartbreaking that that’s what’s galvanizing the masses instead of when he started literally disappearing people to concentration camps.

Look, I 100% agree police is in the wrong here but the way the legal system is set up you can argue that in court. They detain you, put you in front of a judge and if you can demonstrate that your detention wasn’t legal you will be freed. The law in no way allows you to shoot cops because you think they don’t have the right to do something. Telling people to shoot cops is advocating for breaking the law, pure and simple. It’s not for me to tell if US is at the stage when civil was is the only way out and you shoot just start killing each other but don’t pretend it would somehow be legal.
