I refuse to install intrusive anti-cheat in Windows, why would I install it Linux, if I even could.

Each to their own obviously, if you don’t want install the anticheat to play the game, it’s a moot point.
Well damn, I got all kinds of old games that don’t work on newer Windows properly, I guess that means it is an OS failure for that use case.
