Two young Southern white-faced owls that we thought deserved a better life than been kept in this ugly cage. Rescued, fed, happy and will be ready for release within a few weeks on our Sanctuary.

What’s quite interesting about these guys is during the winter months they have the ability to raise their resting metabolic rate by up to 45% to deal with the cold. They can also lower it substantially when prey is scarce.
