LoL, why else would they be publishing a paper on the process rather than buying an absolute ton of mercury and manufacturing gold like mad?

You mean tests that were designed to ensure that only “the right people” were able to pass them. As well as a grandfather clause that exempted all of those right people (in modern times there would likely be a voter roll purge that would somehow lose most liberal voters while miraculously keeping all of the conservative ones).
That being said, this worker should still be held criminally accountable for the death of this child. Regardless of the states culpability in not allocating enough money to hire the number of workers necessary to care for the children they supervise, this person was still criminally negligent.

She doesn’t have to remember them. Trump’s lawyer gave her a whole box full of information to give out to Congress and the press.
This is one of the things that pisses me off about the Star Trek “fans” who point to the Replicator tech (which wasn’t introduced until the Next Generation series) as the reason humanity was able to end scarcity. No, it absolutely was not what ended scarcity in the Star Trek universe. What ended scarcity was the absolute end of capitalism. We have now and have had for over a century, the capability to end world hunger and provide housing for every man woman and child on the planet. We don’t do it because it would remove the overinflated value of those things as well as the obscene wealth of the rich.
The real secret to becoming rich is to have parents who are rich.
Exactly, their kindness only extends the people they know who look like them.
The line below the title tells you everything you need to know about what the article is getting at.
How Allie Beth Stuckey is holding the line on the right.
This is about not empathizing with the “wrong people” and making sure to see everything through a “Christian” lens. I put Christian in quotes because this isn’t according to the actual teachings of Jesus Christ but the interpretation of the Christian Fundamental movement which sees anyone who doesn’t identify as one of them as an enemy to be either converted or destroyed and anyone not confirming to the “natural” standard (I.E. Trans and Homosexuals) should be condemned as irredeemably immoral. These people are basically the ISIS of Christianity.
Meanwhile, on my feed there’s a post directly below this one about a compiler that will give you BSDM messages for good and bad coding and can even be hooked up to a remote butt plug to pleasure you when you compile a successful program.
You should definitely watch the movie. It is an absolutely fantastic film. It’s actually one of my annual Thanksgiving watches.
I often say “via con huevos”
(Inspired by the movie “Nobody’s Fool”)
You apparently have been living under a rock because there is a world of difference between someone who is nice and also a guy and someone being a “nice guy”.
Also the posters are red flags not because they reference nerdy things but because they show an unhealthy obsession with fictional characters who, though charismatic, are evil people who justify their violent actions with straw man arguments about power and corruption. The words on the Thanos poster put an especially fine point on that part.
I see this sentiment a lot whenever the subject of increasing the minimum wage comes up. A lot of people think it’s unfair that a teenager should be making
$15$20 an hour when they only made$5$8 when they were a teen. And they are currently only making around $20 an hour themselves. I have literally seen this exact statement on discussions of increasing the minimum wage:“No teenager should be making close to the same amount that I am. They don’t need that kind of money.”
You are 100% correct that it’s selfishness and I would add that it’s also a complete lack of empathy as well.
