  • In South Africa, it is illegal to open carry, unless you are a police officer or security guard. So citizens are required to conceal carry. Yet in the rural areas where I am from, most of the firearm carrying people prefer to open carry, they feel it is a deterrent and easier to reach.

It’s really weird how everyone in America, what I assume we are referring to, wants to conceal carry because the government does not want you to, and here in SA we want to do the opposite because of what the government wants.

PS this is my opinion from personal experience, maybe a lot more are carrying but I do not see them.

  • I believe this isn’t 4D chess in which he makes a snide remark about South Africa again, but Cyril Ramaphosa signed a controversial bill called Bela or Basic Education Law Act where the ANC wanted to give more state control and give less control to school governing bodies, in regards to languages being taught at schools. Many Afrikaners, myself included, ( just Google Pretoria girls highschool of you want to read a rabbit hole of government overreaction) felt this was a ploy to try and exert control to try and dictate which languages should be taught wat school, such as choosing English over native mother tongue languages (like suppressing Afrikaans for example). There are merit and drawbacks to the bill, but even if Trump is obsessed with us white Afrikaners in South Africa (sarcasm), I do not think this is what he meant, and if he did, we would like him to allow us to deal with our own issues through dialogue and democratic methods
