Rare to find people with no morals? When it comes to right-wing “morality” I think people will be falling over themselves for these jobs. The high pay will ensure compliance, loyalty, and spinelessness as required. Landing a quarter mil/year job will keep your mouth shut as an uneducated tool - or turn you into another Arpaio.

    Lies. From ZipRecruiter:

ICE agent salaries in Florida vary, but average around $46,857 annually. Top earners can make upwards of $62,025 per year.

One might be able to cherry pick the post’s numbers from a rare/weird job slot, but no, they’re not banking.

FFS people, have you not learned by now that if a statement is outrageous you need to fact check?!

I mean I get that it sucks that ICE agents of any level are well paid, but why are we comparing supervisory roles to entry level? School administrators are paid pretty highly too…

I think this part ties it together?

Both jobs require ZERO education requirement.

Do nurses and teachers get hired at any level with zero education requirement?

Also you need WAY more teachers and nurses per capita than you do concentration camp guards / administrators. In fact there are lots of valid-sounding reasons for the disparity seen here. And like, everyone here knows it’s all bullshit & the reason is because the suppression of education is the free space in “fash bingo”. But the uninformed observers sure are easily satisfied with those damned easy answers, aren’t they.

Teaching is a noble profession. People will do it for minimal compensation. “You can tell this by the way that it is.”

Trading your soul and being asked to commit atrocities on the cheap is a hard sell. They’ll need to pay them so well they are afraid to lose such a lucrative gig and will abandon their morals for it. A shit economy actually strengthens this effect further.

Can I take the job for a while and be comically inept and borderline corrupt like Colonel Klink in Hogans Heroes?

“WERE PAYING YOU OVER $300,000 A YEAR AND YOU HAVE HAD 50% ESCAPES!?!”

          “Yeah… its the damnedest thing…”

If you think you can do so and not be found out, charged with treason and summarily executed like the people who did similar in Nazi occupied territory. If you don’t think you are comfortable with that possibility, probably best to avoid the situation.

What if we flood the jobs with good hearted people in maga hats, and race to improve conditions, let lawyers in, release actual citizens and people with valid visas, transfer the others to other facilities and then “accidentally” loes track of them in transit? If it’s just them constantly having to hire and then fire people constantly while brute forcing improvements it would at the very least fuck up their system and at best actually help people.

There is technically a non zero chance it could work, even if it’s improbable.

    Please criticize me brutally

You’re talking about a literal gestapo. It’s a jobs program for fascists. Nazis aren’t hiring nice people and nice people aren’t reforming nazism.

They did this joke in “I’m a Virgo” already

Studying to become an executioner because I oppose the death penalty

I think what you’re missing in this ad is that you don’t ever get the resources to do things “correctly”. Alligator Alcatraz is a great example. The facility is falling apart mere days after construction. Plumbing doesn’t work. Electricity doesn’t work. The buildings are flooding. They don’t have enough food or facilities to prepare it. They don’t have working vehicles. All that $600M contractor money is just getting pocketed by people over your head.

You’re being sent in there to work 12 hour+ shifts in rooms full of caged people who are often homeless, don’t speak English, malnourished, sick, and very angry about it.

Like, the only remotely ethical thing you can do in that situation is to let them out. And even then, you’re letting them out into the middle of the Everglades.
